Road to Banff Venture Forum

After over a decade of dedicated development, the Banff Venture Forum (BVF) has built an outstanding reputation for attracting investment and investment seekers, first in Western Canada and now expanding across the Canada and into the United States.  The Road to Banff Venture Forum (RTBVF) is part of a national and international strategic campaign to build awareness, participation, deal flow and greater investment opportunities at the BVF and to further enable the development of smaller technology companies and investors.

Within Canada, there are many existing entrepreneur training programs, from business plan preparation to investor pitch coaching to product development and marketing seminars. The difficulty encountered by most entrepreneurs is the lack of awareness as there is currently no central database of information regarding these programs. Knowledge throughout the community is fragmented, therefore inhibiting access by many entrepreneurs. The RTBVF program goal is to work with other key groups to improve cooperation between existing programs, to stimulate the development of the necessary new programs and to improve the efficiency of the programs to help to increase presenting company quality by ensuring more companies are able to participate in existing training activities.

The RTBVF is a partnering initiative, whereby communications partners, program partners and Forum sponsors use the new RTBVF brand to co-promote and increase awareness of existing entrepreneur and investor training events, as well as the annual BVF main event. The key objective of the RTBVF initiative is to assist in the creation of stronger local and regional groups and to develop alliances within these groups towards the common goal of increasing access to capital for early and growth stage technology companies.
